To celebrate Kenya’s military heroes, Lelesta Fashion House, in collaboration with Rivatex East Africa Limited and the Fashion for Fighters Foundation (FFF), hosted Lelesta Fashion For Heroes Golf Challenge 2020 on Saturday, 19th December 2020 at Eldoret Golf Club. Later that evening, a Fashion gala and award ceremony was held at Eka Hotel Eldoret.

The event brought together 200 golfers from across the country, including prominent Kenyan leaders and business people. The event was graced by the Hon. Joseph Wakaba Mucheru EGH, the current Kenyan Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Information and Communications; Ambassador Samson Nabukwesi, the Principal Secretary, State Department for University Education and Research; and Rivatex Managing Director (MD) Professor Thomas Kipkurgat.

Through the event, Fashion for Fighters Foundation received a donation of Kes 81,000, of which Kes 50,000 was donated by the golfers and the Fashion House, while the remaining Kes 31,000 was received through FFF Merchandise. Our Foundation was represented by Nicole Maina, Executive Director, FFF; Esther Ngoiri, Executive Assistant to the President; Mercy Ndirangu, FFF Program Manager; Averall Igobwa, Africa Country Manager, Planate Management Group; and Bruno Macharia, Civil Engineer, Planate Management Group.
